How do I use the
virtual microscope and can my computer do it?
-
The
odds are your computer can handle the virtual microscope, but if
you are going to look at the slides from home you will need a
high speed connection.
-
Instructions on how to change the field of view and magnification are on the right side of the viewer for each virtual slide.
- In order to use the virtual
microscope, your computer's web browser must have the Adobe Flash Player plug-in.
- To see if
your computer is ready to go, click
here to open a viewer for a sample virtual slide.
- In the slide viewer window, you should see both the virtual slide image and, at the bottom of the viewer, a navigation tool bar. Use the pan and zoom controls of the tool bar to explore the virtual slide.
- If you can not get things to work,
click here for the Adobe Flash Player plug-in.
- Remember to restart your computer
after installing the plug-in.
Before going to the first chapter,
